Prediction: regardless of how Trump leaves the WH, he'll take his 38% of the population with him and run the GOP from his nightly primetime show on Fox. And he (or Junior or Eric) will continue to promote conspiracies that saturate our political culture with anger and violence.
And if the Murdochs try to do the right thing and keep Trump at arms length or rein him in, he'll just start his own station that will quickly put Fox out of business. Had he lost in 2016, this is what we would have been living through right now.
American politics may never recover from Trump. There is no greater gift Trump could have given to our geopolitical rivals.
