@lopp @aantonop @schneierblog #bitcoin appears superficially simple, which is good for adoption and interest and to have a feel of what it is and how it works, but at level of protocol improvement, the design gets more counter-intuitive as you get into the details. this is a risk area for dunning-kruger...

@lopp @aantonop @schneierblog sounds harsh, and I personally like and would be happy to advise many of the personalities, but dudes, you seriously need to understand your own limits and respect collective safety and expertise. "oops we broke it, oh well smart people can maybe fix it behind us" is not a plan.
@lopp @aantonop @schneierblog any more than it would be for mission critical systems with flight control systems, space systems with live and money on the line. even flight systems have actuarial risk calculations at around $1mil/life insurable. Bitcoin has to aim higher - a free market money is world level.
