The Country Market will be moving here from February #exciting Here's a look at what they had there this morning
The #NaasCountryMarket has been run by local people for donkeys year and while they’re a little sad to be leaving the town hall, I’m excited that all these goodies will be on sale from the #Theatre foyer every Friday. The town hall will be turned into the Naas Library in 2019

1/ Amid Twitter maybe getting rid of the "like" to promote "better dialog" and certainly giving safe haven to nazis and other extremists, a rant:
2/ You probably noticed how, people came forward to say that they'd reported the bomber for violent threats, and Twitter (as always) did nothing and (as always) now apologizes but (as always) won't say how they'll better handle. They won't, and I'll tell you one big reason why.
3/ to address complaints about threats and "improve the dialog" Twitter introduced the "quality filter." You see fewer threats and hate speech. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THERE'S LESS OF IT.

Great collaboration between my (research) lab @emblebi and Charles Bangham's lab @imperialcollege in particular with @AnatMelamed moving between the two labs regularly (the pleasures of "dry science").
Our (Birney group's advocacy) was getting the HTLV infected samples WGS'd so that we could do allele specific RNAseq and 4C - definitively shows that the integrated provirus changes genome structure and gene expression in cis only (ie, only the integrated chromosome)
HTLV is the "other" retrovirus (HIV far more infamous) and endemic in some human populations (parts of Caribbean, parts of Japan). In a minority of cases it causes a nasty form of leukemia, and this research points to plausible mechanisms to test further to explain this variation
