THREAD: Reading thru the brief filed by Six4Three v Facebook about DMCS document seizure, there are some very bizarro discrepancies that make this crazy story all the more peculiar. These details aren’t covered in the Buzzfeed piece on this filing: documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri…
2. Kramer, CEO of Six4Three, has other businesses that take him to London. Doesn’t he need a British lawyer for those businesses? I find it dimwitted that he doesn’t have a solicitor and has been suing Facebook, working the UK. His US lawyers can’t advise him on UK law.
3. It’s wild that Kramer didn’t contact his lawyers after the seizure. He even went to Thanksgiving dinner. Didn’t bother to tell his counsel. Bizarro.
5. Kramer told Cadwalladr that he had his files on the cloud. His lawyers don’t get how the cloud works. He claims he didn’t know he would have docs sought by DMCS. He was also administrator of the Dropbox account. Strains credulity.
6. Don’t miss International Grand Committee tomorrow where we will see if full documents released or merely cited, what updates the ICO will offer, such as key follow-ups from the last appearance (who knew what when?), and unsung hero of it all @podehaye parliament.uk/business/commi…
4. (skipped) As someone who has given evidence to DCMS committee for their inquiry, I can’t imagine engaging w/cmmtte as a plaintiff of one of the companies being investigated without instructing a qualified solicitor. Litigious bikini pic guy needed that advice from US lawyers.
