I remain a bit tortured by whether no-deal should be allowed on a 2nd referendum ballot paper.
On the one hand it is an insane proposition and any country putting it to people has lost its marbles. As @rolandmcs said, it also rewards a bunch of liars and charlatans for their bullshit.
@rolandmcs I'm also not sure it can be articulated in a way that could be put on a ballot paper. Ie: You're not going to outlaw aviation treaty right? SO has to relate to trade only and even then only up to March 29th.
@rolandmcs Would be up to Electoral Commission (oh God) but I'm not convinced that's doable. And given time is a major factor here, it's far more tempting to have a two-way choice with readily comprehensible options.
On the other hand, the truth is no-deal is one of the live options which is constantly raised in the debate. We have no, despite our best efforts, killed it as an idea. So excluding it feels wrong.
It also removes any chance of killing the Brexit debate, even if Remain won. The Leavers would always be able to claim that we did not offer the special magic Brexit which would have solved anything.
Quite rare that I find myself going one way and then another on a debate, but have had this bouncing around my head for a while and I don't really come to a settled decision.
