This is one of the best UX innovations I have ever seen.
You might think that it is principally through decreasing annoyance for Green Basket holders but I actually think it likely materially increases conversations per sales rep by decreasing rep discomfort and by telling people that it is actually OK to ask sales reps questions.
"Isn't that literally the point of sales reps?"

I don't know what to tell you, but it took decades of training for me to be able to overcome Midwestern norms about interrupting and start saying "Hey, person who is compensated to sell fashion things: I am buying; please help."

One of the least heralded and most important technological advances of the last 20 years is a battle getting fought one piece of paper at a time to replace workflows with web applications. It’s slow, boring, and enormously impactful.
It’s surprising how much you can get done these days *without* needing to call anyone, line up, or make a visit to an office to figure out the correct form to file something.
Random example for you: the IRS hires 10k people every year to type numbers from returns into the computer. This is a decrease from earlier, since e-filed returns don’t need to be redundantly retyped.

And that team size is doing the 100% YOY growth thing.
(If you’ve got a better Fermi estimate for “every YC company combined” than 10k would love to hear it; I’m basically finger-to-wind guessing on that.)

Tokyo could drown in tech dollars but teachers would continue living in cheap housing because Tokyo builds housing. If you stop building housing, you’re deciding someone doesn’t get to live there; market just tells you their names.
Most important part of the puzzle:
We having baying hordes who advocate for and get scarcity and then wonder why we have no abundance. Truly it is a mystery.

Once, not too long ago on this twitter dot com, I got into a back and forth exchange with someone over the idea of a woman playing James Bond.
For the record, no I have not seen every Bond film, but I’ve seen enough. They’re the same movie, and that’s fine. I’ll watch the actual same movie over and over again.
But this quickly devolved into “how would you like it if we remade women characters like Sarah Connor into men?” And straight up, I would LOVE THAT.

I want do change that so let's do a deep dive on the fundamentals of the company with the wild assumption that the company is completely legit
short history:
@RobertPera has founded the company as a side project while working at Apple. he officially left and started Ubiquiti in 2005.
Pera had an idea for an outdoor wireless WiFi product and successfully launched it later that year for a great success
The company was completely bootstrapped, Pera didn't use any VC (That's why he holds +70% to this day).
Pera identified early that the commodity hardware business model wasn't sustainable and understood that he needed a more defensible business model

Friday the 13th Part 4 doesn't exist. Because after 2 attempts to make the final Friday the 13th movie, they decided to put it right in the title: Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Let's hope it's a step up from the last iteration.
From :25 to 2:50 in, all of the previous movies are re-hashed. That's...better? I guess? Still seems completely unnecessary.

And considering this was meant to be the "final" film, they sure made that hockey mask *with* the axe cut very prominent in the title.
