2 WAYS TO START A CONVERSATION 🗣

-Direct approach
-Indirect approach

Are you tired of never knowing how to start that conversation?

I got You!

[Short THREAD]
This was something I always suffered with as a teenager

Seeing someone I wanted to talk to but didn’t know how to start a conversation

For this, I missed MANY opportunities, but it’s ok, life is full of opportunity
So, maybe it’s a coworker, someone you’re interested in or it’s that cute girl in the cafe you see every Sunday...

No matter what the situation, these Two conversation starters will work!
So, First

🗣The Direct approach

It’s simple...

I want you to observe the person you want to talk to

**[Don’t be creepily glaring ]*

So, observe them...

What they’re: doing, saying or wearing

Think of how you can comment on an observation you made

👇🏼
1-Approach the person
2-Put on a warm smile
3-Excuse Yourself
4-Ask about or relate to the observation you made
5-Hold light eye contact and LISTEN to what they say
6-Ask further or continue relating to their responses
7-Introduce Yourself
That approach alone will take you places

Second

🗣 The Indirect approach

This is for the people who are a little bit more shy or nervous

It’s simple...

Wherever you are, imagine you need water, gas for your car, a bookstore, a cappuccino, etc

See the person you want to talk to?

...👇🏼
1-Approach the person
2-Put on a warm smile
3-Excuse yourself
4-Ask the person where the nearest bookstore, gas station, grocery store or coffeshop is
5-Maintain eye contact
6-Thank them for the response
7-say “by the way, I’m [NAME]”
8-Inquire about what they were doing
You know what to do from there..

Ask better questions that generate feeling, not yes or no

“What made you do that?”
“What did that feel like?”
“What was that like?”

Listen to their responses and relate as best as you can

Finally collect their information
Hope you enjoyed that quick thread

That information alone changed my social life forever when I found it years ago

Talk soon guys,
Paul
