I believe in the school thought that virtue, the highest good, is based on knowledge; it is also true that the wise live in harmony with the divine Reason, identified with Fate & Providence, that governs nature, and are indifferent to the vicissitudes of fortune, pleasure & pain.
Many will be quick to say oh he belongs to the School of Stoicism but this is one of many philosophies that gives a hint of my beliefs & reservations. I cling to nothing and know nothing having built a habit of unlearning to relearn. So I’m No One & No Thing.
I make no religion of any activity. I may Protest today but that doesn’t make me an Activist, I may push for policies but it need not make me an Advocate, just like being in a garage makes no one a Car. What my certificates say about me applies to my past. What I do now is Me.
Let’s just be humans shall we? Instead of being pre-occupied with demonstrating how superior we are to another. Can we just breathe and lay down the guard for once? Can we hear people out without dangerous assumptions and prejudices because of complexes? 🤔
