We need2build "resilience structures" within every community, starting with food security.

Nothing gets done w/o every community being able2feed itself. No med care/no road maintenance/no power grid... no gov, w/o regn'l food security.

It can be begun w/o buying land (private arrangements w ppl who own land & are willing to let you use some of it in exchange for a "CSA share" type of arrangement).

Every calorie of food this movement produces will replace a calorie of food likely produced in the ecocidal system of conventional agriculture.

Once we get the transformation of agriculture going, it will of necessity suck so many people away from what their current lives look like that it will provoke other aspects of civilization to change.

Growing food outside of "the system" is the most revolutionary non-violent act that exists.

But I think we can chg many ppl's minds by showing them how exciting an opportunity it is &how critically important it is to the survival of the human race.

It's the *ultimate* meaningful calling at this 11th hour of climate action.

I'm not saying this will be an easy thing for ppl to decide to undertake. I'm not saying that it will lead them to "a better-paying job". &it'll be much more difficult in some places than others (climate-related reasons, supply/demand reasons)

@MrMatthewTodd @JKSteinberger @EricHolthaus @ExtinctionR @BBC The payoff will be that you're liberated from being part of the problem to part of the solution, possibly for the first time in your life. You'll be improving the actual health of your community, too; almost certainly your own.
