I have _no idea_ how Amazon works. I was delighted when loads of people RTed stuff about 100 Games this week, but Amazon taking 1 week plus to ship is disappointing. I can cope with the responsibility of marketing my published work, but I feel a bit powerless over distribution!
FWIW, I'm really sorry I keep coming out here on the beg for you all to buy the book. The truth is, for authors who aren't massive names, 90% of marketing after launch month comes down to us peddling our wares online, hoping we don't alienate folks by talking like salespeople.
Anyway, since I'm breaking kayfabe, I might as well drag out the other classic author beg & transparently plead for reviews. As ever, it's not because we want praise: it's just another hoop that has to be jumped through for our work to be visible outside our own social media.
Oh, and I must add that none of this is a slight on my friends and publishers at @RebellionPub , who have been a grand support to me & the book. It's just the way of the world that persistent, author-independent marketing only tends to make sense for big names with guaranteed ROI
Anyway. I feel thoroughly on edge now, as I really don't like talking about the business side of my work in public. But hey, writing is my full time job, and the more people read my work, the more I'll be able to get published. I'm so bloody grateful for all of your help <3
