It’s 2018 and this is the first time this has ever happened.
Think if, for the first time in a country’s 250 year existence, men had a slight majority in a single state legislature (out of a possible 50), and women complained about how they were being pushed out, and news outlets wondered if the country was ready for “so many” men.
The fact that women are majority representation almost 0% of the time instead of, say, half, is a pretty big giveaway that’s rarely commented on.
