Meet everyone's best friend, @SeanSpammity. This account is obviously a bot, as shown by 24/7 activity and posting all of his tweets via automation service Cheap Bots Done Quick. Granted, as the creators we didn't really need the statistical test to know that.

Cheap Bots Done Quick is basically automation Mad-Libs style - tweets are created via fill-in-the-blank text generation using a tool called Tracery. Here's the code underlying @SeanSpammity's tweets.
Unlike many of the popular automation services, Cheap Bots Done Quick has an explicit policy of disabling abusive or spammy bots. This is a design decision we much appreciate and hope others creating similar tools will consider doing likewise.
As a final humorous note, @SeanSpammity bore witness to some detective work wherein someone went to a lot of trouble to discover all of the bots/parody accounts that we've already publicly declared our responsibility for. Apparently some folks need to do things the hard way.

Time for some fun with political vocabulary. We downloaded English-language tweets containing "neocon", "neoconservative", "neolib", or "neoliberal", resulting in 40747 tweets from 24603 accounts in the last 10 days.

How are these labels used? Based on the fact that only 15 of the 40747 tweets contain one of the phrases below, people aren't self-identifying as neocon/neolib. Anecdotally, the majority of uses are pejorative, typically directed at folks deemed insufficiently ideologically pure.
Combined retweet network for neocon(servative)/neolib(eral). The accounts using only neocon(servative) are largely right-wing, while those using neo(liberal) or both are generally left-wing.

There's been a bit of tempest in a teapot lately re the #IntegrityInitiative, following the release of leaked documents. We downloaded tweets containing "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative, yielding 27213 tweets from 9054 accounts in the last 10 days.

Retweet network for "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative. Several of the prominent accounts (@georgegalloway, @Ian56789, @ShoebridgeC) have a history of pushing #FalseFlag theories about the #Skripal poisoning. Sputnik reporter @KitKlarenberg also puts in an appearance.
Speaking of Sputnik, here are the media sources most frequently linked from tweets containing "Integrity Initiative"/#IntegrityInitiative. Sputnik and RT comprise 45% of the volume, with the majority of the rest being comprised of Western conspiracy-oriented sites.

Meet @ASGFiltration. At first glance this appears to be a promotional Twitter account for a business, but some of the content is. . . odd. The account has replied 722 times with the tweet pictured, and many of the replies seem out of context.

The tweet referencing Trump is not the only tweet @ASGFiltration has repeated. It is the most frequently repeated and the only one that is overtly political.
Repetition of tweets suggests a bot. @ASGFiltration doesn't tweet 24/7 and posts all tweets via the Twitter website making automation hard to prove, but manually posting the same tweet 722 times sounds more than a bit drudgerous.

THREAD: My brilliant undergrads were assigned to make twitter bots. There were no particular themes or other requirements. Just make a bot, and make it amazing.
No students were harmed in the tweeting of this thread. Making bots public was 100% optional & had no impact on grades. Students were free to claim attribution, but most decided to remain anonymous to the public (of course I know who coded what).
Bad Poetry Bot's pseudo-intellectual platitudes were so diabolical, its creator felt obliged to hit the kill switch after a mere 24 tweets:

if you're wondering why the screaming became finite, Twitter suspended Cheap Bots Done Quick, the platform that this bot and thousands of other art bots use
Cheap Bots Done Quick is a platform for making *well-behaved* bots, which only @-reply people who @ them first and which have a built in chance of not @-ing people 5% of the time so that they do not get caught in resource-hogging infinite loops
Twitter already suspended 30 or so of my bots, making a year of my work vanish from the internet, but this makes orders of magnitudes of bots just... stop posting

After 70 years of imperial/neoliberal indoctrination the web of lies is so obviously absurde (9/11, Skripal, WH = ISIS, etc.), that it is dissoluting. The empathetic humanity connects, closes ranks and sends their eternal psychopathic rulers and their lackeys into nowhere land.
The "evil empire" is a lifelong three year old child. I certainly loved my children at that age too, however only because they created not only a surreal mess, but also made steady progress.

A great documentary about psychopathy and society:
The elite invented "democracy" to protect them from the empathetic people. The media are their means for misleading the people sedated by "democracy". This is definitely a bad thing since the people have become educated and the elite almost totally insane.
