1. Facebook's GLOBAL POLICY CHIEF, Joel Kaplan, is a right-wing operative who reportedly has veto power over changes to the newsfeed.

He wields this power to preserve and expand the reach of right-wing sites.

2. Kaplan & Zuckerberg wanted THE DAILY CALLER, a consistent source of misinformation and hate, to be given the power the fact check other articles

The only reason it didn't happen was The Daily Caller lost their accreditation from Poynter goo.gl/6eRbj4
3. Note: The logic behind why this is necessary is the belief that the Associated Press has a liberal bias.

This is apparently something the top brass at Facebook believe.
4. Kaplan famously offered his support to Brett Kavanaugh, sitting behind him during his hearing. When he won confirmation after serious allegations of sexual assault, Kaplan threw him a party.
