Judiciary committee releases report on its yearlong probe of FBI and DOJ actions in 2016-17.

First major point: there was NO unanimity at the FBI on the decision to not prosecute Hillary Clinton, contrary to Comey's statement.
This is the first government document substantiating the allegations (without referencing news reports) that DAG Rod Rosenstein suggested wearing a wire to record @realDonaldTrump
Significant: House judiciary and oversight committee Republicans still believe a second special counsel should be appointed to investigate FBI and DOJ action in 2016-17.

Sessions appointed @USAttyHuber to address these concerns. The renewed request is now on AG Whitaker's desk.
In a separate letter, the committees indicate that they have initiated the process of releasing all interview transcripts to the public.

I have hunted down the British court filings where Christopher Steele admits that he was hired by the Clinton campaign and the DNC in order to "challenge the validity of the [2016 presidential] election."

Here's the "smoking gun."
Steele filed this in a UK court on Aug. 2, 2018. It became public in the U.S. on Dec. 11, 2018, as part of a filing in a separate U.S. case.

The admission that his Dossier was to challenge the validity of the 2016 election sounds a lot like Peter Strzok's "insurance policy."

Gowdy asks Comey what he meant when he affirmed to President Trump on Feb. 8, 2017 that their conversation was "private." Comey says he thought it meant it was just the two of them in the room. Gowdy basically implying Comey misled Trump.
Comey goes on to draft a memo about the "private" conversation and shares it with senior FBI leadership.

Judge: Would you like to withdraw your guilty plea based on the revelation from the January 302?

Flynn: No, your honor.
Judge: Would you like the court to appoint an independent assessment of your case for a second opinion?

Flynn: No, your honor.

House Republicans (Gowdy/Goodlatte) quietly wrote a 7-Page letter on DOJ WITHOUT mentioning Rosenstein threatened Congressional Staff? Didnt Rosenstein LIE under oath to Congress about hiding documents? Horowitz admitted Rosenstein directed him to withhold Strzok-Page text msgs.
Congress has absolute power to compel testimony. TITLE 2 of Congress. Rosenstein does NOT have the right to refuse to testify as Deputy Attorney General. If Rosenstein refuses to testify, throw him in the tank until he does so. Missed Opportunity, Republicans. Thanks Paul Ryan.
House Republicans had Rosenstein in the jaws of life so many times. Rosenstein is NOT above the law. He does not get to violate his loyalty oath, neither does he get to violate 2 USC 192, refusal to testify or produce documents. Inherent Contempt should have been the next step.

House Judiciary has *quite* a federal courts bill on the agenda for Thursday: 52 new district judges, SCOTUS real time audio w/in 2 years; video streaming of all appeals court proceedings w/in 2 years, SCOTUS justices must explain recusals on website (!) judiciary.house.gov/wp-content/upl…
And there's another bill to add five more appeals court judges to the 9th Circuit and break it into four divisions (Northern, Middle, Southern and Circuit). judiciary.house.gov/wp-content/upl…
