Live thread on reporting I am getting from @EMG_Janita on the Flynn sentencing hearing.
Flynn declined several crucial requests from the judge. (Not exact quotes.)

Judge: Would you like to withdraw your guilty plea based on the revelation from the January 302?

Flynn: No, your honor.
Judge: Would you like the court to appoint an independent assessment of your case for a second opinion?

Flynn: No, your honor.
Judge: Would you like to postpone the matter ...?

Flynn: No, your honor.
Judge to Flynn's lawyers: Attorneys, do you have any concerns that the materials weren't provided to you and want additional information?

Attorney: No, your honor.
Judge: Do you think Flynn was entrapped?

Attorney: No, your honor.
Judge: Was Flynn dissuaded from having a lawyer at the interview?

Attorney: No, your honor.
Judge: Was there misconduct on behalf of the FBI that caused Flynn to lie to the FBI?

Attorney: No, your honor.
Judge asks why the lawyers brought up all the contingencies along with the guilty plea.

Attorney says the contingencies were brought up to distinguish Flynn's case from that of Papadopoulos and Van Der Zwaan.
Flynn attorney says they have no intention to withdraw the guilty plea and are not asking the court to withdraw the guilty plea.
Judge moves to sentencing phase. Reads out sentencing guidelines.
Judge: "The court is reluctant to proceed to sentencing until cooperation has been completed."
Special counsel wants to clarify why they proceeded to sentencing even though Flynn can still continue to cooperate.
Fuller account of prior exchange:

Judge: Is Mr. Flynn still cooperating?

Attorney: Your honor it remains a possibility that he continues to remain to cooperate.

J: The court is reluctant to proceed to sentencing until cooperation has been completed.
Judge and special counsel now conferring with staff.
Judge invites Flynn to podium.
Judge references the N. Virginia indictment unsealed yesterday, saying the special counsel may need further cooperation from Flynn.

Judge says he can weigh in and say "let’s wait until they realize the full benefit of the assistance" before sentencing.
Judge says the court needs to understand and evaluate the dull extent of the defendant’s cooperation to determine the sentence.
Judge says arguably Flynn could be required for further cooperation and that he asked whether Flynn wants to postpone until later point.

Judge says Flynn’s sentence today could be a different sentence after he cooperates in the investigations.
Judge: "I’m going to be frank with you this crime is very serious..."

Judge: A "very serious offense" for a "high ranking security officer" at the White House.
Judge takes into consideration Flynn's 33 years of service to the nation and the aggravating circumstances ... "which are lies" as the national security advisor.
Judge: "Arguably you sold your country out.”
Judge again asks if Flynn wants to proceed to sentencing, if he wants more time to show USA that he has done everything he could to assist the country.
Judge asks Flynn if he wants to take a recess. Flynn wants to take a recess.
Judge to special counsel: Could Flynn be charged with an additional criminal offense?

Special counsel: Potentially violation of Logan act... act no one has ever be charged on...

Judge: Yes that's the answer I wanted.
Judge: Did Flynn accept responsibility?

Special counsel: “We believe he accepted responsibility” and his actions were unlawful…"
Judge confers with court staff. Special counsel conferring with team.

Judge asks Flynn's team whether they want to ask any questions.

Recess until 12:30.
While recess is happening I am going to add fuller quotes of above. Please note these will be out of sequence. I will mark the point when we go back live.
Judge said he is not hiding his “disgust” and” disdain “for the criminal offense.” This was before the judge again asked Flynn on whether he wants to proceed with sentencing without showing his “full extent of cooperation” with the government.
The judge said he is considering giving Flynn a sentence that includes prison due to the seriousness of the crime, but wants to give Flynn the opportunity to completely cooperate with the governments especially now with the two cases in Virginia.
Note: When the judge asked Flynn if he wants to proceed to sentencing or if he wants more time to show his country what he has done to assist USA, Flynn was not given an opportunity to answer. We may learn the answers after recess.
Judge: "You can’t minimize that. All along you were a foreign agent of another country while serving as the national security advisor."
Judge: "You can’t minimize that. All along you were a foreign agent of another country while serving as the national security advisor ... Arguably you sold your country out ... The court is going to consider all that."

(fuller quote)
Asked about sentencing guidelines, the special counsel attorney said they still consider the lower guideline as the “appropriate and warranted period” ... including no prison time.
Note: reporting for this thread comes from @EMG_Janita who is in D.C. live.
During the judge's reprimand, Flynn appeared stunned. Some reporters observed a clenched jaw.
Flynn did not look happy at all. Especially after the judge said he is considering prison time.
We are back live now.
Judge says that he made a statement about Flynn being a foreign agent and that the special counsel asked for that to be corrected. Judge says he was not suggesting that Flynn committed treason or other violations.
Judge says the special counsel has no reason to believe defendant committed treason ... after speaking with him in 19 interviews.
Judge says ...he was just asking a question [about treason] not suggesting Flynn committed it.
Judge now addressing what distinguishes Flynn's case from Papadopoulos and Van Der Zwaan, adding that the premise of Flynn's case is that the offense occurred in the White House.
Judge: In not one of those cases was the defendant a high ranking government official while "in the West Wing of the White House” and lied to FBI.
Flynn's attorney is now making the sentencing statement.
