The whole reason we started this WHQ thang was to help out struggling, time-starved writers (like us) and offer retreats and courses that were affordable for skint writers (like us) and take over the world with our sweary gif-making tomfoolery. And you know what?... 2/
Things are going pretty darn well, and we've built up The Most Amazing Writing Community In The World™ but we know that shanking thirty squid a month on writing stuff is still a big ask for some of you, especially in these dark, Brexity, post-Christmas days... 3/
We also have a lot of enquiries from peeps saying they'd LOVE to join WHQ but just can't manage the subscription fee. This makes us sad. So we've done TWO THINGS to try to fix it... 4/

THING TWO: We're also launching a pay-it-forward bursary scheme, in which anyone with a spare few quid can put it towards free places on WHQ courses and retreats for well-deserving, under-represented, and financially-challenged writers. We match fund ALL donations... 6/
