Wild story in Davidson:

Two people who claim allegiance to the Moorish Nation were found squatting in a multimillion-dollar home for sale once owned by the parents of the mayor of Davidson.

Interesting day- the property manager of a west Charlotte home told me the two Davidson suspects also declared allegiance to the Moorish Nation at his property. They claimed he has no authority over them. They refused to pay rent. Their lease expired.
When we got to the house the property manager and a maintenance worker were already there. The worker was going to change the locks- then he saw people inside. Police were called.

When pressed on the two women who told me they were paid by Dowless to pick up ballots and promote him, Harris said "I think it's very important to let the facts eventually tell the story." #NC09 #ncpol

Another text, from one of Dowless' workers to Dowless: "I'm scared and I don't remember half of what we are supposed to say" (to state investigators) #ncpol #nc09
That's interested because it makes it appear Dowless instructed them on what to say to state investigators. But in a state elections board hearing around the same time, Dowless said he only ever told his people to simply tell the truth. #ncpol #nc09

SUMMARY: There is evidence of absentee by mail (ABM) voting irregularities in Bladen AND Mecklenburg counties. Irregularities didn't alter election result but SHOULD be referred to US Attorney. 1/
This chart shows the percentage of votes cast by method in each county in #NC9. Note the only two counties where more than 2.8% of votes were cast ABM are Bladen 7.3% and Meck 5.8%. 2/

NCSBE said they gave college campuses a 'special dispensation'. In other words, these voters didn't have to follow the law the rest of us in NC did.
The reality of this is anyone could walk up and register at any college to the generic address & then disappear.

North Carolina's 'early votes' are on pace for a mid-term record; as of 10-26-18 for absentee by mail & one-stop/in-person:

Over 1M requests have been made;

Of those, 957K of both absentee by mail & onestop/in-person have been returned & accepted.

Regarding NC accepted in-person ballots (that will be the majority of absentees): as has been noted for a few days, 2018 seems more of a 'presidential' year than a traditional mid-term.

But, 2018's daily total is slipping behind 2016's daily total, as expected

Today's thread of NC 'early votes' as of 10-24-18 (note 2 different types: by mail & one-stop/in-person).

So far, 789K requests have been made for absentee ballots (both mail & in-person).

Of those, 716K have been returned & accepted (both mail & in-person).
