Here's the bottom line: I've now posted over 160 fully sourced examples of things Brexit is already doing to the UK. Real-life consequences, not project fear nonsense. But most companies aren't in the public eye, and they don't execute their plans in the glare of the media.
The cafe or restaurant that can't get enough EU staff to stay open 7 days a week. The farmer who has to decide which crops to let rot in the fields because pickers aren't available. The small business that has to lose an employee or two because its EU customers have reconfigured
their supply chains. The family that has decided to return to their EU27 country because they're too anxious about the post-Brexit climate. The hospital that has been forced to cut services and lengthen the gap between appointments because the recruitment crunch bites deeper.
None of these will show up anyway, except maybe on Facebook or Twitter if somebody makes a passing remark. But it's happening. There are enough sob stories coming out in comments to be certain of that. So there's the high profile, punches, then there's the quiet death by a
million cuts. Brexit inflicts both, and we will be ever poorer and more diminished by it.
