Case Details: The petitioner in this petition has challenged Section 375
and 376 of the Indian Penal Code as being biased towards men and not including women under its ambit as the perpetrators. The petitioner while challenging constitutional validity of the existing provisions.
Today: The petitioner contended that the Union of India has filed an affidavit in which their stand is not clear.

The court thus ordered the Union to file the clarification with respect to the action taken for accepting the recommendations of the Law Commission.
