Could taking "no deal" off the table be the price of a proper, decently long Article 50 extension?

For instance, what if the EU come out and give May nearly a year to fix the pickle she's managed to get her party into, but on the condition she renounces no deal up front?
Allows a useful amount of time for proper consensus building, reassures businesses, and plugs the flow of £billions being flushed away on no deal prep.

And from TM's POV it would have one huge benefit: the ERG can't hold a gun to her head (and the UK's head) any more.
It would also bring all the other parties much more on side, and take away Jeremy Corbyn's last hiding place. ("He said he wanted 'no deal' off the table and I have taken it off the table, so why is he still refusing to cooperate on finding the best Brexit for Britain?")
And ultimately leads to two possible outcomes:-
A) Theresa May's consensus deal, forged by reluctant but necessary collaborative work with other parties (to counter the stroppy ERG who almost certainly won't go for it)
or
B) Article 50 rescinded and we stay.
Although I much prefer B), under the constraints I outlined A) would have a good chance of happening.

And if we can't find *any* way to make Brexit work after what will have been almost *4 years* we jolly well should bury it upside down at midnight as the Worst Idea of All Time.
