Every single leftist media house is in the laundry room cleaning RaGa's linen that got soiled in Dubai. They have been rebutting the "Gandhi's non-violence was inspired by Islam" narrative by doing a "FACK CHECK" of sorts.

Apparently, RaGa's full statement was “Mahatma Gandhi picked up the idea of non-violence from ancient Indian philosophy, from Islam, from Christianity, from Judaism, from every great religion where it is clearly written that violence will not help anyone achieve anything.”

So the youngest Gandhi lad named every religion except the ones that were birthed in India or unpartitioned India, namely, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Why this selective exclusion of home grown faith systems? I am left to wonder.

Any who... talking of "Fact Check"... if only the likes of "The Print" and "The Scroll" took the pain to do a lil fact check of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, they would have realised that their esteemed leader, Shri Rahul Gandhi has a flawed understanding of Gandhi- the original.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi didn't get inspiration of non-violence from any of the great faiths he mentioned, but solely from Jainism, a faith system that had its roots in Hinduism. And while we are still at FACTS, let me add that Jainism had co-existed with Buddhism and....

Hinduism in undivided India but suffered great persecution during and after the 12th century at the hands of Muslim rulers who destroyed Jain temples and pilgrimage.
