Sancocho de Cola - oxtail stew!

A Friday ONLY special. I've been waiting for the right time to order this for a long time.

A beautiful crisp beefy broth filled with plantains, potatoes, and other soft starches.

The oxtail is soft and incredibly meaty. Very satisfying.

I "had" to add a Chicharron & Arepa.

Deep fried pork belly. It's a cheap and simple dish, but it's a great filler to go along with the soup.

How can you go wrong with crunchy fried pork?

The meal comes with this wonderful green chilli salsa.

It's very different from Mexican style salsa.

More salty, less acid, and very savory.

For a drink - Lulo fruit smoothie

I've never had this fruit before. (I've never even heard of it before)

It's very tropical. Best description is a a cross between pineapple and guava. Lightly sweet, and very refreshing.

Of course, I couldn't leave without picking up some sweets to take home.

Very reasonably priced.

If you've never had Columbian food, you're missing out.

Try new things.
Go on adventures.
Life is too short.
