I defended the buzzfeed reporters - they both have done excellent work, especially on Russsia. The denial is deeply troubling and I hope we get firm answers soon. I will be surprised and sad if the denial was really meant to (and truly does!) cast doubt on the entire piece.
We’re living in unprecedented times so let’s all be more careful. Including me. And also let’s all stop pretending we know how this will play out, or even whats happening right now.
One side is using the statement to dismantle the whole thing, one side is picking it apart and reading tea leaves. I think I’ll just wait. We all should just wait.
