The MAGA kids thing shows how important optics are, especially in the era of intersectionalism. To many, a MAGA hat is a symbol of evil. A smug white kid wearing a MAGA hat staring down an elderly Native American is an intersectionalist's simplistic dream of Good vs. Evil.
The kids did act in an unruly way. The tomahawk chop in particular was disrespectful. But we now have several videos of the incident, none of them corroborating the allegation that they were chanting Trumpisms.
The boys did not behave in an intimidating fashion. The videos show no evidence that anyone in that crowd had their movement impeded, or felt threatened in any way,, despite the claims coming from the Native elder's side afterward.
The Native who told the kids that this was his land and that whites should go back to Europe also behaved inappropriately.

The Black Israelites are also deserving of condemnation.
No one in the situation is deserving of more condemnation, however, than the Twitter outrage machine and the media which unquestioningly feeds off of it. That is the real mob in this story.
There was nothing to gain in this story from immediate judgment. The optics looked bad, and the outrage machine engaged. And now pictures like this are floating around, from people so bored with their mundane lives that they get a high from the emotions without critical thought.
If you truly want to tweet your condemnation of abhorrent behavior, then do it. Condemn the kids. Condemn the racist Native. Condemn the Black Israelites. Condemn Kathy Griffin. Condemn the media. Condemn the doxing.
If condemnation is your thing, do it. For me, personally, I feel a whole lot happier sitting back and waiting for the facts and context to come to light. It gives me a lot more time to play video games. /end of rant
