Quick thought for the day: there will be times when you feel overwhelmed, when there's too much and you're crushed by everything.

Could be because of your social life, could be because of social issues, your work, anything.

There's a quick way to help ease things:
Pick something positive that's under your control. It may be something like "doing the dishes that have piled up in the sink", "vacuuming the rug", "responding to that email"

Just one small thing that will make a positive difference. Get that one thing done.
I will be the first to say that this sounds absurd, but that one tiny thing reminds you that yes you HAVE control over something. You HAVE agency. You HAVE power to make a change for the better.

It may be small... but it's still proof that you can make things happen.
Everything is built out of small things. Big moments start from small gestures. Huge edifices begin as one shovelful of dirt. That little moment of control you've exhibited is one small thing that you can build upon.
Incidentally, if you can, then I suggest that one thing be to clean or organize things. This not only demonstrates that you have control and the power to change but leaves you with a visible reminder.

Plus: it's amazing how much clutter can wear on you without your realizing it.
So if nothing else, you can say "yes, I feel lower than a snake's ass in a drainage ditch and overwhelmed by everything in life... but by God I have clean dishes and folded laundry!"

And sometimes that's all you need to keep going.
