The following is a thread to assist with readers with reading Princeless including tracking down the right books, determining continuity, and matching your collection to figure out what you're missing.
Ready? Let's begin!
Princeless is a fairy tale about Princess Adrienne, who decides to save herself with the assistance of her guardian dragon, Sparky. The first volume, which was originally just released as "Princeless" and later subtitled "Book 1: Save Yourself" is 4 issues long--
Written by Jeremy Whitley, illustrated by Mia Goodwin with assistance on lettering from Jung-Ha Kim and Dave Dwonch.
Single issues can be found on Comixology here: comixology.com/Princeless-Vol…
And the physical collection is on Amazon here: amazon.com/Princeless-Sav…
They look like this:
Volume 1 introduces Adrienne, her brother Devin, her parents, Sparky the Dragon, Bedelia the Blacksmith, and sets up the quest for the rest of the series.
Volume 2 is written by Jeremy Whitley and illustrated by Emily Martin (@megamoth) with colors by Brett Grunig (@BrettGrunig)

Amazon/Physical: amazon.com/Princeless-Boo…
They look like this:
Volume 2 introduces the bounty hunting knights who will be pursing Adrienne throughout as well as Adrienne's older sister Angelica - who is the most beautiful princess in the land. There's also Roderick Lovelorn who is a poet (if you like that sort of thing)
Now, this is where it gets a bit confusing. There were some large production delays for volumes 3 and 4, the result of which was that Jeremy wrote a few collections of short stories and worked with several great artists. Continuity wise they are best read after volume 2, so...
The short stories were originally released and available digitally as:
Short Stories for Warrior Women #1-2 -

Tales of the Family Ashe #1 - comixology.com/Princeless-Tal…

For a physical copy, the short stories were originally collected in their own collected edition: amazon.com/Princeless-Sho…
That version is now nearly out of print and they have been re-collected in the Princeless vol 1&2 Hardcovers

Book 3 of Princeless is called "The Pirate Princess" and introduces the character of Raven, who will leave at the end of this story to start her own spinoff series. This volume is illustrated by the amazing @RosyTintedSpecs & @ten_bandits who would go on to draw Raven's book
Book 3: The Pirate Princess is four issues

IF you got to this point and thought: I like Raven a lot, I wish I was also reading a book where she was the captain of a pirate ship full of queer women and there was romance and revenge, follow this link over to Raven's thread:
Adrienne continues on to Book 4: Be Yourself, illustrated by Emily Martin and Brett Grunig. This book introduces Adrienne's sister Angoisse as well as goblins and a bunch of monsters

It looks like this:
After "Be Yourself" comes "Make Yourself" which was a bit confusing during release, but is much easier now that it's collected. What you need to know is that it's two volumes: Vol 5: Make Yourself part 1 and Vol 6: Make Yourself part 2.
The nitty gritty of that is that "Make Yourself" was originally supposed to be six issues. Action Lab couldn't afford to price a six issue trade the same as a four issues trade, so suggested I add two issues. Luckily I already had one cooking.
So, Vol 5, Make Yourself Part 1 consists of issue #0, illustrated by Alex Smith and 1-3, by Emily Martin, Emily Spura, and Brett Grunig. #0 is the issue all about hair and 1-3 introduce Dwarves and a monster farm!

Book 6: Make Yourself Part 2 then contains issues 4-6 and a one shot story called "Hunting Day" about Bedelia's cousin, her wife, and their daughter. Also, Bedelia's family and Adrienne's twin sisters are here:

OH! And I should say while issues 4-6 of Make Yourself are illustrated by Emily and Brett, "Hunting Day" is illustrated by the amazingly talented @MeganHuang5 whom any editor reading this should hire before she takes off and is too big for all of you.
And with the icy mountains left behind, Adrienne heads to the desert in Volume 7: Find Yourself which is illustrated by Emily, Brett, and newcomers to Princeless Ainhoa Aramayo and Raven veteran Christine Hipp @chippolyta intermittently taking on inks.
This volume has magic, desert elves, new enemies and THE BLACK KNIGHT!
