Yeah @Delta you continue to not impress me. “We don’t have anyone that can help you get your luggage to the plane from the gate, including for disability” is a lie-*this same airport did it before*. If I pass out, this is squarely your damn fault.

I’ve flown out of this airport-YOUR AIRPORT-several times. Every time, someone has helped me get on a wheelchair and bring my bag to get down the runway. Your gate staff is lying or doesn’t know policy. Pick one, I don’t care.

Some days are better than others for carrying weight, but I have to always be prepared that it’ll be a day like this. I’ve NEVER had an airport refuse this basic service upon request.

They had a single wheelchair waiting for the two of us that needed it coming off the plane. It was in my name.

It shouldn’t take social media to get my basic fucking rights respected.

I’m happy it was there and I could get the fuck home, but my god, this was SUCH a bad experience.

For clarity sake, DTW is primarily if not exclusively Delta territory.

I received a form email telling me to call customer service which is “open til 11 PM”, but the manager that they actually wanted me to speak to is out for the night already.

We’ll see what they have to say for themselves when they call tomorrow, if they even do.
