Now with English subtitles: At an Israeli government conference on education this week, genocide was celebrated from the podium, to great applause: “Build a house, it’s like you wiped out a hundred Arabs. Build a settlement, it’s like you wiped out tens of thousands of Gentiles”
Only after this video was published did the Israeli government condemn the comments celebrating genocide. But Education Minister @naftalibennett was in the audience himself, & neither he nor anyone else objected at the time. The original report in Hebrew: ynet.co.il/articles/0,734…
The Israeli government chose to honor this man, knowing his views full well. Back in 1980 a group of Jewish terrorists bombed the legs off the mayor of Nablus & this man drove the getaway car. He was sentenced to just 3 years in jail & in the end he got just time served, 4 months

on this date two years ago, @torontopolice officer michael theriault and his brother christian attacked dafonte miller, then 19 years old, with a metal pipe. police in toronto and durham conspired to cover up the crime, and charged dafonte with assault
the theriault brothers, who were sitting in their father’s garage in whitby, ontario, chased dafonte and his friends, who were walking at night minding their business. michael theriault was not on duty. the beating led to dafonte being hospitalized—he ultimately lost his left eye

Black Americans are neither settlers nor immigrants. We are descended from West Africans who were kidnapped & held in bondage here. Folks deny our existence as ethnic group w/ a distinct history & culture while continuing to make commodities of these things 1/
Anti-Black racism is so pervasive that folks will capitalize every ethnicity as a proper noun except "Black". We are described as (lowercase) black Americans as though "black" is simply a racial descriptor & we are otherwise disappeared into "American" identity 2/
1) again, we are descended from Africans kidnapped from various nations who were violently stripped of their language, culture and identity 2) no one counted us as Americans until the passage of 14th amendment 3) we have our own culture & history that is constantly erased 3/3
