The Northam situation reveals two things: 1/7
1) Both the left wing and the right wing have individuals with racist beliefs. That comes as no surprise. 2/7
2) However, the reaction of the right when one of theirs is uncovered as a racist is VASTLY different from the left. 3/7
The right almost always reacts with denials, attempts to smear accusers, and often outright support for the racist. The case has to be REALLY outrageous and undeniable to make them condemn it. (See: Steve King.) 4/7
The left calls for its racists to resign or be fired. It's very rare for the left to act like the right does almost every damned time. 5/7
And that's why it's incredibly galling to see how the right behaves when a Democrat is accused of racism - with instantaneous bad faith "concern" about "left wing racism."
