It's not about his "point of view", it's about the lie he told - which any competent journalist would have pointed out. Unfortunately your article does not.

I think this saga has hit a nerve because it brings together every Brexit element in concentrated form:
- Lying MP, won't admit lie or engage
- truly appalling journalism from @ShropshireStar (conversely kudos to @alexisconran)
- shrieking ignorant jingoism of @DKShrewsbury

2/ As the press release notes, this is subject to negotiations with the European Parliament, which decides on visa legislation jointly with the Council.
As it happens, the EP committee unanimously adopted its negotiating position this week: europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.d…
3/ The EP and Council agree on a visa waiver. There are only minor differences in their positions.
a) The Council cross-refers to the latest version of the EU visa law, which is here: eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/…
b) The EP places more stress on reciprocity, ie UK not imposing visas

1/ Some light Saturday reading on the 1948 "Latter Rain" movement born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan (Canada), in preparation for a future series of @YouTube videos. It's difficult to understand the dominionism of the New Apostolic Reformation without knowledge of the LRM.
2/ George Hawtin founded the Sharon Bible College in 1947, and invited the students to engage in fasting and prayer. At the end of 1947, Hawtin attended meetings in Vancouver to hear the "healing revivalist" William Branham. This had a profound effect on Hawtin.
3/ Hawtin returned to Sharon and incited the community to renew their commitment to fasting and prayer; he was seeking a revival in Sharon. According to Hawtin and other witnesses, revival broke out on February 11, 1948. It then swept the continent and went around the world.

In fairness to me, although I passed on the offer of a spliff of elephant dung, I did try chewing a bit of psychoactive bark he recommended
It did absolutely nothing for me. He swore by it as antidote to bad side-effects of smoking elephant-dung, but I suspected hyperventilation.
