Dear Media:

Next time any politician says "I don't want to pre-judge," try this response:

"Your job is to use your judgement to evaluate ongoing situations based on available evidence and develop + authorize plans and contingencies to minimize harm to all per Constitution." 1/
"If you aren't willing or able to share an opinion and and strategy for handling the multiple potential outcomes of a situation, you seem incapable of doing your job.

Would you like to answer the question now?"... then repeat the question.
Or something along those lines ;)
The job of elected representatives is to engage in legislation on behalf of the American people, and to do so transparently, not to obscure strategy to protect certain members of their party from scrutiny.

Your job is to make sure they're held accountable.
So next time they try to avoid 'pre-judging,' 'getting ahead of their skis,' etc., remind them that unless they're commenting on a specific piece of judicial litigation that they're involved in adjudicating...
having an understanding of and an opinion about something is not binding in the same way as a judicial decision, so there is no down side to discussing a situation in advance of complete information being available,
and situational speculation based on hypothetical circumstances is part of the skill set that any decent legislator should have, in order to evaluate and craft legislation with any likelihood of success.

SO MAKE THEM ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION.

Thank you.
Also, when you continue to push, if they tell you to calm down, control your emotions, or something along those lines, let them know that you appreciate their concern,
and that you hope they'll be available to come back for comment when you run the story or finish your book about politicians weaponizing gender bias in order to avoid accountability. @KatyTurNBC 😉
