The most stomach-churning portion of Trump's #SOTU (which would be better acronymed #STFU) speech was when he began trotting out figures from the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, both victims and heroes. The man's chutzpah is just mind-blowing.
After all, Robert Bowers, the man who went on the rampage that killed 11 people, was fueled by his inchoate rage over the ostensible threat of a caravan of refugees approaching our southern border.

Of course, other than Fox News (which had been beating this particular drum for the week leading up to the massacre), the No. 1 fearmonger-in-chief on the refugee caravan was none other than Donald Trump.

More precisely, Bowers attacked a synagogue because he believed that Jews, led by financiers such as George Soros, were responsible for this caravan.

MAGA hats are about trolling. They're part of the uniform of far-right street brawlers like the Proud Boys and American Guard. People wearing them in public are mostly attempting to provoke anger and violence. This is why I've encountered many of them at far-right street fights.
The young man in the baby blue shirt (kind of hidden) is Nathan Damigo, founder of Identity Evropa. This is the same day he was caught on video sucker-punching a woman.
A lot of people think trolling is harmless. The reality is that trolls are genuinely awful human beings who don't care if they're identified as bigots; they think it doesn't matter. They're fascist-adjacent. I tried to make that point in this piece.
