ICE agents are in Charlotte, NC. They were last spotted at Central avenue earlier this morning arresting people from a CVS. please retweet this and spread the word to keep other people safe!
keep an eye out for dodge chargers, ford explorers, and a white van which is presumably carrying those who were detained.
remember your rights! you do not have to open your door. if you don’t speak spanish, ask for an interpreter. if they have warrants slide them under the door. if they don’t, tell them they are not allowed inside your home. if they force their way in, do not fight.
If agents force their way in anyway, do not attempt to resist. State clearly: “I do not consent to your entry or to your search of these premises. I am exercising my right to remain silent. I wish to speak with a lawyer as soon as possible.”
sometimes agents will use a ruse or false information, so be extra cautious! ask the agents who they are and what they are there for. do not lie or show false documents. do not sign anything until you talk to a lawyer.
please stay calm througout this. raids usually last 3 months and then they move on to a different city or town.

THEY HAVE NOW MOVED INTO AREAS SUCH AS NATIONS FORD, THE PLAZA, EASTWAY, AND INDEPENDENCE. please be safe! they have already emptied out a complete neighborhood, leaving children and homes stranded!
another piece of information that is useful is that when ICE agents take in these people, they are most likely going to be taking them somewhere down South Tryon during the immigration process. that is where ICE usually takes the people they have detained.
an empty bus with bars on the windows on Billy Graham Parkway about 15 minutes ago. please be careful out there!
UPDATE: ICE will be in North Carolina presumably until Saturday from several sources i have talked to who have talked to ICE. please keep your guard up and follow these instructions in my tweet!
