Allow me to ask, do you, like me, have John Wayne in your mind and heart as the image of a skillful warrior? How about Clint Eastwood in Kelly's Heroes? Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan? Who's your skillful warrior? George C. Scott as Patton?

My own great skillful warrior, dating back to the 1960s when I used to watch him on Sunday morning movies, is Errol Flynn as Robinhood. I'd have followed him anywhere. If he hadn't conscripted me, I'd have volunteered, and he'd only need recruit me once.

It's important to define competency. Master Sun is telling us that a true leader at war knows exactly how many men he needs and does not sacrifice them needlessly, does not conscript a group of them more than once. Go back to those 1960s with me.

Were you there? Do your remember the draft for the Vietnam war? Do you remember the petrified fear, the certainty of death? Being drafted was almost like being killed. And how many times did you hear the story of this or that friend or family member drafted?

Picture how different our history would be if our generals had limited themselves to a single conscription. Picture the entire anti-war culture that arose, the movement, its success in discrediting our military, and the suffering of our returning soldiers.

Transition to our political fights. How many times have you heard that this or that election is the most important of our lives? How many times can you hear that before you go deaf? You cannot be conscripted into a political fight countless numbers of times.

The skillful warrior never transports provisions a third time. Twice, that's it. Hey mom and dad, I need some money here at college, please send it. Oh, I need some more. That's twice. You do NOT want to ask a third time. And so also in politics. Twice to ask, not a third.

I plan on fighting for #MAGA for the rest of my life. I have envisioned the two-year cycles forward until I die, and I don't plan on dying for quite some time. No one will have to ask me a second, let alone a third time. I've made the commitment forever forward.

What about these foraging soldiers with plenty to eat, NOT brought from home? Saul Alinsky teaches us that we must never have tactics that drag on till they become a drag. Tactics must be fun. Are you having fun? Will you believe me when I tell you I am?

In #MAGA, foraging means getting your joy, your enthusiasm from the liberal left, from those who reject @realDonaldTrump and our movement. I love the young ones, the millennials so certain in their own truth. They make me smile. I also love the insane politicians on the left.

Speaking of which! Do you remember how utterly petrified with fear you were that HRC would win? The other side has never given us a moment's rest to enjoy our victory. Yet, how AWESOME is it that HRC is NOT POTUS? Don't you want to forage on that, a little?

As a boy, I never won an after-school fight on the playground. But I still remember the joy of planning to show up. We had to work hard to evade the teachers' scrutiny. Everyone knew I'd lose, but even silly me, I somehow knew that showing up was all that counted.

These decades later, I'm already salivating over 3 November, 2020. I know we're going to win. Do you remember how they imploded on the other side in 2016? I can't wait for the joy of defeating them again! I'm so excited, I feel like I might win an after-school spat!

Picture your local school district once #MAGA principles have taken root, and we cleanse the lesson plan of liberal left insanity. Picture them teaching our founding principles again. Doesn't that give you food for the fight? It sure does for me!

I see Master Sun laughing at us. Be cheerful, he lovingly expresses with his eyes. In politics, food is joy. It is the joyful crew who takes home the prize. And if we don't get it from other side, we won't have plenty to eat. Can I interest you in a #MAGA burger? They're paying!
