Obviously, the goal of your life is

to become self-actualized.

We’ve all seen Maslow’s Hierarchy

of Needs, and self-actualization is

almost always top of the pyramid.

How do you achieve it? Thread⬇️
What’s self-actualization?

It’s fulfilling your potential as a human being through understanding of the natural and supernatural world.

This involves
-creativity
-logic/reasoning
-independence
There are different theories on this;

-meditation and self awareness
-major increase in selflessness
-religious rituals
-finding your passion in life

But the one that’s most useful is

the full usage of left and right brain.
Why this theory?

You’ll find the left (L) and right (R)

hemispheres of your brain exemplify

the duality found in nature.

-good/evil
-masculine/feminine
-yin/yang

All of which complement each other.
In ancient Egypt, the L and R brains

were associated with men and

women, respectively. They believed

that the way to self-actualize was to

learn from the other sex through

partnership, creating a sense of

balance within yourself.

The Left Brain

Used in order to process logic, reasoning, rationality, and analysis.

If you have L brain tendencies, you

-perform well in math
-have a large vocabulary
-pay attention to detail
-follow directions well
(1/2)
The Left Brain

Being L-brained means that you have a weaker R brain.

L-brained people may struggle in

-expressing their feelings
-showing and understand emotion
-showing affection
-being empathetic or appreciative
-understanding love
(2/2)
The Right Brain

Used to understand abstract concepts, and express creativity.

If you have R brain tendencies, you

-visualize instructions
-prefer drawing rather than writing
-perform well on open ended q’s
-notice patterns and similarities well
(1/2)
The Right Brain

Disadvantages of a weak L brain

-struggles settling into a routine, such as a school schedule
-struggles with structured writing
-tough staying focused on one task
-often doesn’t perform well academically
(2/2)
The way to self-actualizing through

your brain hemispheres is to

strengthen each side,
If you’re R brained, you’re less likely

to want to change your lifestyle,

since you probably have high life

satisfaction.

L brained people tend to lack a

feeling of purpose and belonging,

and they look for other ways to

compensate.
However,

R brained people tend to be less

successful in their lives, and need to

add more structure to their lives.

L brained people, while they don’t

have as much satisfaction, their

academic achievements have gotten

them far in life.
How to Improve Your L Brain:

-write in cursive
-write freely, such as an article or blog, something without structure
-solve a puzzle
-change your morning routine
How to Improve Your R Brain:

-memorize sets of data
-breathe through left nostril
-create a more repetitive morning routine
-put away your phone at work
The more you do these activities,

even as unappealing as it may seem

to R-brained people, you’ll be more
aware of the world around you and

you’ll be a more successful and

satisfied person.
