There's a difference between:

1. Austerity and;
2. Living within your means.

Austerity is usually in response to an economic crisis. It is not a pro-growth policy.

For example, Mugabe's Zimbabwe implemented austerity measures.

Are we Mugabe's Zimbabwe?
Okay, Nigerians spend an average of 56% of their income on food. What does "living within our means" mean in this context? Does it mean we should start skipping one or two meals, and fully embrace poverty?

What is all this nonsense in aid of? What happened to wealth creation?
Nigeria should be a medium income nation and middle class Nigerians should easily afford flight tickets.

Flying from Lagos to Port Harcourt regularly shouldn't be the exclusive preserve of the rich.

I REFUSE to think like a poor man, and you shouldn't too.
