Tomorrow we have 2 experts at the public bill committee which is scrutinising the Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill. This is the bill that passed its second reading a couple of weeks ago so is now in committee stage.
They will mainly be looking at social security coordination, aggregation of contributions etc but also hope to get a chance to speak on Surinder Singh rights (that's when a UK national returns to the UK with a non-British family member).

We need your help!

Conservative MP, Alberto Costa, is proposing an amendment to the motion being voted on in the House of Commons next Wednesday 27th Feb. The amendment calls for the Prime Minister to ask the EU to jointly agree *as soon as possible*
to adopt the citizens' rights part of the Withdrawal Agreement - whatever happens with Brexit.
Mr Costa has a lot of support from MPs already, cross party and across all wings of the Conservative party. The3million and British in Europe are writing to every single MP to ask for their support - to increase the chances of the Speaker selecting this amendment next week.

We welcome the latest report of the House of Commons Exiting the EU Committee published this morning and in particular the committee's call for ringfencing of the citizens' rights contained in the Withdrawal Agreement in the event of a no deal scenario... bit.ly/2HCnI4D
The report highlights what has been done and what would still need to be done to ensure that UKinEU have a clear legal status at the end of March if this does not happen - emphasising the time this will take and how it may lead to inconsistency between different countries.
We also welcome the raising of other key issues for UK citizens in the EU27 in the case of no deal: what will happen on healthcare and social security, especially the aggregation of pension rights, and to the rights of UK citizens who decide to return to the UK post Brexit

Thread: The U.K. Govt. confirmed what was suspected (and what the @ukhomeoffice have hinted at in private talks) that, in the event of a no-deal #Brexit, free movement will end on 29/03/2019. For #EUcitizens arriving after this date, they face a new temporary system.
The Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill, once enacted, will repeal the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2016, which currently implement free movement in UK law.
This system will be a temporary transitional system running from 30/03/2019 and until 31/12/2020, to give the U.K. Govt. time to implement the new immigration system on 01/01/2021.

No-deal Brexit threatens pensions & benefits of 100s of 1000s of UK & EU27 citz who aren't citizens of where they live. Thread 1/
EU law guarantees EU citz equal treatment & portability of old age pensions, child benefits & many disability benefits. UK cant discriminate against UK pension holders who live elsewhere in EU. Nor can EU27 stop pensions for their citizens in UK . 2/
EU social security "co-ordination" is one of the oldest - & greatest - legal rights in the EU. Since 1957 EU citz have known they can move around, change job and they will not be treated the worse for it. 3/

This is gonna be long, but I think it's worth it. A well-regarded twitter poster, let’s call him Giorgio, has recently publish a thread stating among other things as follows. “The pathways to stopping or delaying Brexit are blocked.
But once the mandate is discharged, the pathways to UK rejoining, or being in a close association agreement with EU, within the single market and customs union, will be open, with no obstacles.”
This approach annoys me for two reasons, one because Giorgio seems to be attempting to cajole Remainers to put all activity on hold until we actually leave the #EU.
