If there’s anything I’ve learned in my life, it’s that it takes a level of security and self-confidence to be humble, and those who lack that are not worth your time. Insecurity leads to a big ego.

On a different level, maybe someone will find it helpful, as a woman in tech I started my career proving I was smart, now the interaction has changed to me reading if someone is intimidated by me. But hey, that’s not really my job. And if you’ve ever met me you’d realize I’m not.

TLDR; shits weird, people are weirder. And don’t worry too much what other people think of you. Just do the right thing in the moment and have integrity.

The truly intelligent will question themselves when put in an environment where everyone tells them they are wrong, because they are self-aware. However, that’s an unhealthy environment for them to ever succeed and grow.

The other side doesn’t have your context and if you listen to their side you have both their context and yours. You should trust yourself.

Getting them to see your context is easier said then done. Especially if the person is insecure and has an ego.
