The sheer ignorance and entitlement displayed by the UK Government in this story is breathtaking. International cooperation doesn't just happen because that's a good thing to do, it happens because Governments work together over years to make it happen
It is hard to pinpoint even a top ten of basic negotiating mistakes the UK has made in Brexit, but saying that because we're leaving the EU has to be the one to adjust would be right up there. Our lack of consideration for others has been widely noted.

To repeat constantly: You can throw tantrums as one of the three biggest members of the EU and get results, but it doesn't work as an outsider. Just ask the US or China.
