good features twitter probably will never give us:
- mute that just keeps that person from appearing in your timeline but still notifies you when they interact
- mute just likes on a conversation but still get notifications on replies
- mute individual tweets in a thread

- mute a certain offshoot of conversation. two people start chatting in the replies on a tweet & i don’t need to be notified, but i still wanna see other replies to my tweet
- filter notifications by type, including QTs

- hide a thread. people should be able to dismiss one of my ongoing threads so it doesn’t keep popping up in their timeline over a period of hours.
- snooze a person (FB allows this - sometimes you just need a break from somebody’s content)

someone is going to tell me check mark twitter already has all these amenities and i’m going to be upset. not laura-loomer-handcuffing-herself-to-the-door upset, but pretty dissatisfied for sure.

i'm just saying, having some more control over notifications would improve this site somewhat
