"The butterfly think itself a bird!"

2019 scam artists all over the place! Announce your candidacy, raise funds, keep most of the funds and waka! They mistake the desire of our people for change as an opportunity to capitalise on that frustration and enrich themselves. Nansense
Like you think you'd have had up to 100 votes nationally? If you are not ready to go to the grassroots, you will end up contesting elections on social media and winning same on social media. All the noise of the elite form just about 20% of the electorate.
I beg after Madam Obby who is next to fall like a fly?

People who could not unite under a coalition want to liberate Nigeria! Na so Obama, Macron and co do am abi? Lazy sods!
Aside @MoghaluKingsley and possibly @YeleSowore (even with some of his crazy ideas)
that all the pretenders should have united around, back with policies and mobilise across the geo political zone, all the other candidates are just pretenders, just enjoying the media attention.
When civil society become a merchandise & fundings made available by donors for all manner of foundations, they become lazy, expecting the masses to rise based on tweets and social media followers, work 2ice as hard as the traditional politicians, come to the level of the people
After the election we will all have a debate, for as long as new age politicians adopt the same egoistic, messianic complex of those before them, all we will be getting are "Sebi H/She try" candidates who mistake appearances on @channelstv @AIT_Online and SM as making impact.
How do you "bring people together"
Supervise elections for them, then "hear from God" to emerge as a candidate just after your mentees declare their interest then go to pick a clown as a running mate, leadership isn't eloquence and sound bites, it takes much more than bravado
The civil Society in Nigeria are just replica of the same ruling elite, very cabal in nature, they operate like mafias, donor funds circulated within that cabal, it is when they "chop bellyful" they start thinking of vanity project such as "I am going to be @NGRPresident "
They never put any hard work in, they mistake the bubble called the Nigerian social media as Nigeria. Some of them don't even know head of vigilante, or the community organisers in the neighbourhood they reside. Twitter is the constituency, give them a mic and camera that's it
Ask yourselves why the people still run after traditional politicians, don't be deluded into the propaganda that the Nigerian electorate are stupid and they all collect money to follow a politician, they follow those who speak their language, all those graphics is meaningless
They will listen to the local leaders who mobilise the community to resolve a faulty transformer, the one who collects contributions so they can fix the entrance gate to the street, the one who will hold local authority accountable, they don't give a hoot about your soundbites
Most (*not all) members of the Nigerian civil society are replicas of the same ruling elite, they never want to hold themselves to account, you ask why most of them opposed #Ngobill? Cus it will expose the corruption in that huge INDUSTRY not different from Pastors and Imams.
Civil societies in so called "saner clime" the clime who send you those funds you all use for your zero impact vanity projects organise more than agonize, they don't become protest contractors, they get their hands dirty and make REAL impacts.
We will talk more after 2019 elections.
