1. Do you know who worked as a foreign correspondent for the nation's first, major *REPUBLICAN* newspaper? Karl Marx. When will the @gop finally come clean on their ties to Communism?
2. You know who tried to undercut the US military with his speech exposing the "military-industrial complex?" REPUBLICAN Dwight Eisenhower. When will the GOP come clean about their history of disrespecting our military?
3. You know who proposed a universal basic income, universal health care, and massive environmental spending in the early 1970s? REPUBLICAN Richard Nixon, that's who. When will the GOP come clean on their history of endorsing socialism? 
4. Ok, this is all just sarcasm...but the point is, the KKK was founded by Southern Democrats in the 1860s. Saying this has anything to do with the Democratic party in 2019 is as absurd as saying the GOP is a Marxist party because Marx wrote for their paper in the 1850s.
5. Or that the GOP is a "socialist" party because Nixon proposed policies that the GOP today calls "socialist." Or that the GOP hates the military because progressives have picked up on a critique of the military first voiced by Eisenhower.
7. As @KevinMKruse has proven ad infinitum, Dinesh D'Souza is a propagandist, not a historian. If someone applied the same logic to the GOP as he applies to the Democratic party, one would come up with absurdities like tweets 1-3 above.
@KevinMKruse 8. As many have chimed in to point out...you could just play this out to infinity. For example, the GOP *pretends* to be tough on immigration, but really, they are the true party of AMNESTY!!! When will they finally tell the American people the truth! npr.org/templates/stor…
