I love this thread about ADHD by @yashar. As he says, not everybody who had ADD is the same (I don't have the H, for example) but we share similarities. Please read his thread. I've written about how to cope & why it's a superpower for entrepreneurs here: bothsidesofthetable.com/developing-an-…
/ I did a short video interview talking about my ADHD to help demystify it. You brain can be wired this way AND be super successful.

Part 2:
/ Quick joke for anybody who has ADHD - no matter how much you LOVED @yashar's thread - admit that it was hard to get all the way to the end :)
/ When I listen to podcasts / YouTube I can only listen at 1.75 or 2x or I can't concentrate. Drives my family bonkers. That is ADD! I learned that if things are slow I think about other things. When I speed up I don't have time for my brain to wander
/ When you present to somebody with ADHD (or at least this person) you need to understand that if you don't quickly they can become bored. If we get your idea - BOOM! But why are you belaboring it? Move on. Next thing. I got it. Go! (that's ADD)
/ I try to politely guide people through my brain. I try to politely say, "I got it," "What else?" or "Let's race through this so we have more time to chat at the end." ... if you hear that from somebody, follow their lead
/ Also be aware that, best will in the world, people with ADHD in a conversation sometimes take you off track because they get interested in something you said that isn't core to what you're trying to convey. You should try to politely get the conversation back where you want it
/ I know this about myself so if I feel myself doing it I will literally say in meetings "I have ADD so I'm sorry I'm jumping around a bit." Most people won't tell you. I've become self aware. I love spontaneity of conversational drift. But might mean you don't get point across
/ I have a colleague who also has ADD. I know that people LOVE meeting him because he's super charming. But I find many entrepreneurs he meets don't fully explain what they do because they end up talking about life with him. Your job in a pitch is to get it back on track
