Invest in long-term, authentic relationships. Over time good things will happen

People who ask for favors without investing in the relationship first are transactional. You may get something once but you lose something else forever
4. It takes years to build a personal reputation and trust.
It takes one bad action or behavior to ruin it forever
Was just thinking about the advice you don't learn in school that I try to impart on younger professionals when I meet them. I'll be speaking on campus again next week. I love sharing hard-earned wisdom even if I may never see the payoff
