I am 2 break it down 4 scrutiny &questioning.

2/22. Up to 1.32, there is an Indian talking &he said he was in2 research&development of pharmaceuticals specialising in herbals. His name isn't audible. He ddnt mention his professional credentials, co. name or its address in India. Did th Indians get cleared by Immigration?

3/22. Medical research in ZW is highly regulated & its done thru th Medical Research Council of ZW (#MRCZ) (mrcz.org.zw). The #MRCZ is a specialized Council of th Research Council of ZW (RCZ, rcz.ac.zw @researchzim) & wasn't contacted.

4/22. Th RCZ is established under th Research Act Chapter 10:22 (parlzim.gov.zw/component/k2/r…) inorder 2 provide individual&institutional health researchers with independent ethical oversight on research conducted by those researchers or by/within those institutions.

5/22. From 1.45, Magaya claimed he discovered a plant 2 yrs ago (2.10-2.26) & its called Aguma (2.51-3.15). Th reason why he ddnt disclose it was that he wanted it 2 b scientifically proven (2.28-2.50). He ddnt mention th #MRCZ. Its not known if he knows of it.

6/22. He claimed that in "discovering" th plant, he wanted to determine its medical properties 4 cancer & AIDS (3.15-3.30).

He is clearly showing ignorance of th Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act (#MASCA) Chap 15:03 mcaz.co.zw/index.php/down….

7/22. Under th #MASCA, Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (#MCAZ, mcaz.co.zw) is a statutory body "responsible 4 th evaluation of safety, efficacy & quality & registration of complementary medicines."

8/22. At 3.34-.36, Magaya stated that "they" (presumably th Indian researchers) tested (3.34) & found th plant 2 hv "phytochemicals" (3.36-.55) which can fight AIDS & cancer.

9/22. To say that "phytochemicals" fight AIDS & cancer is simply an open admission that Magaya is dangerously ignorant on matters of science.

10/22. Fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, tree nuts & teas are sources of phytochemicals. - medicinenet.com

There is nothing unique about phytochemicals bcz plants have them.

11/22. Common classes of phytochemicals include: Carotenoids, Flavonoids (Polyphenols), including Isoflavones (Phytoestrogens), Inositol Phosphates (Phytates), Lignans (Phytoestrogens), Isothiocyanates & Indoles, Phenols& Cyclic Compounds, Saponins, Sulfides and Thiols &Terpenes.

12/22.At 4.46-.47, Magaya said "cancer thrives on oxidation." What a lot of scientific drivel.

Normal cells need oxygen 4 us 2 survive building molecules, carrying out chemical reactions & storing energy.

13/22. Cancer cells prefer glucose (sugar) instead as thrive under conditions of low oxygen called hypoxia.

Oxygen provides far less fuel 4 cancer cells than glucose (only 2 energy molecules instead of 36 with sugar).

14/22. A German doctor, Otto Warburg, got a Nobel Prize in 1931 for his research proving that cancer cells use a form of non-oxygen metabolism 2 survive.

15/22.A Zambian journalist asked if th medication had bn tested (6.26-6.55), he said he tested it fully on human beings (6.56-7.10, 8.13-.17) This is dangerously illegal, s16 of #MASCA.

Please #MRCZ & #MCAZ report this man 2 th @PoliceZimbabwe &hav him criminally charged.

16/22. He claims that AIDS will b cured in 14 days if one takes th aguma-based drug (7.27-.29, 7.39-8.13). This isn't an approved medicine & yet illegal advertisement & claims of effectiveness are being made.

17/22.He claims he has a license to run a clinic (29.07-14). Such a license is obtained only by those medically qualified or if its a company, there shld b licensed medical personnel in whose name th license is issued.

18/22. He ignorantly attacks ARVs (42.46-47). Anyone who submits 2 him as th leader of his religious ministry & is taking ARVs can easily default on his word.

19/22. He doesn't know what science is. He thinks science is there 2 validate his religious claims&falsehoods?

Th core of any religion are beliefs & these are things one accept 2 b true without evidence & when evidence is 2 th contrary.

Th core of science is testing&evidence.

20/22. He claimed 2 hav been licensed by medicines regulator in ZW, @MCAZofficial (1.03.34-1.04.02) but still want 2 circumvent that by distributing clandestinely thru his ministry members.

Let him produce th license otherwise th @PoliceZimbabwe should hv him charged.

21/22 Now that Magaya has publicly apologised in th presence of @MoHCCZim officials, has he shut down his website, arethamedical.com. & withdrawn from th sales he was conducting.

Who manufactured th drugs & where was this? A crime has bn committed there too.

22/22. By the way none of th journalists enquired if Magaya knew what phytochemicals are. These are bioactive non-nutrient plant compounds that are produced by plants ("phyto" means "plant"). They are found in fruits, vegetables, grains, beans & other plant foods.

Magaya is very hostile 2 sceptical journalists (1.40.06-1.44.16). He expects them 2 b cheerleaders 4 him &he even ranted like Trump @HeraldZimbabwe @SundayMailZim @HMetro_ @NewsDayZimbabwe @DailyNewsZim @kwirirayi @larry_moyo @annamiti1 @ZBCNewsonline @thestandardzim @capitalkfm
