I worked in network radio. Here are some of my criticisms: Too young sounding, too energetic, too fast, too squeaky, too singsongy, not singsongy enough, not young sounding enough, not high energy enough.
My favorite was that I don't sound like I'm taking the news seriously. Also women were like 10 percent of my coworkers anywhere I worked except public radio.

I spent a large portion of my childhood in a country that didn't widely adopt the MMR vaccine until much later and got measles. IT SUCKED. Also you can't treat it with antibiotics, unlike what terribly ignorant lawmakers are currently saying. It's a virus my dudes.
After the symptoms ceased, I had to avoid loud noise and bright light for a long time (a month or so; also, no reading, TV, or leaving my bed for a week) because of the very real possibility of optic or aural damage. It can also lead to encephalitis. cdc.gov/measles/about/…

Since everyone is throwing around the word "pedophile" these days, here's some clarifying info:
"Pedophile" and "child molester" are not the same thing, & neither mean "making jokes about kids&sex." Understanding distinctions helps understand what to do culturally+for victims.

A child molester is someone who has initiated a sexual encounter with a child (generally meaning pre-pubescent but not always - this is another distinction that makes a big difference on all fronts).
A pedophile is someone whose overall sexual orientation relates to children.

Pedophiles are sexually attracted to children. It is - for lack of better term - an aspect of their sexual orientation.

Pedophiles are extremely rare compared to child molesters, even though they molest children. They are difficult (impossible?) to change.

The Torah portion we read this coming Shabbat starts with the story of Yitro, Moses’ father-in-law, giving him some tips about refining his leadership model, delegating, becoming more effective in his leadership.
Then, fast-forward. The people Israel are hanging out at the base of Mt. Sinai, while God gives instructions to Moses. This translation is misleading; there’s no “warning” and no “staying pure.” God tells Moses to קדש the people—to make them holy, sanctified, set-apart.
It’s clear from the verb that Moses needs to do a thing to them. So then Moses goes back, and he does it! He קדש them. Sanctifies, makes holy, sets apart, something. It’s still not clear what the action is, but he does it. Plus the clothes washing thing. There’s no warning.

Seeing a number of tweets like this tonight. What it looks like: people still on staff in the Trump White House made their peace with this kind of thing long ago. Either they share Trump's resentful, fearful racism, or they've made up their minds not to think about it. 1/n
2. What about Republican elected officials? A couple of Florida representatives, and one from Utah (of Haitian extraction) have expressed their dismay, as has one Minnesota Congressman (@RepErikPaulsen ). Orrin Hatch has asked for an explanation from Trump, whatever that means.
3. Just as the press reports of Trump's repellent comments about non-white immigrants were coming out this afternoon, @JohnKasich and @JebBush circulated their @nytimes Op-Ed ripping Trump's decision to expel Salvadorans in the country since 2001. So credit to them as well.
