Shaders requires an understanding of light and other basic principles that rules our perception. ⁦@pixelspiritdeck⁩ can be your guide on that path pixelspiritdeck.com
VOID: The empty canvas. Full potential. The absence of light before creation. In this empty space the main() function lies alone.
JUSTICE: with the severity of a sword this card cuts the space judging. The step() function turns the gradient of the horizontal axis into oposites. The first argument, the threshold, divides between full & empty, active vs passive. Like Procrustes this card force his own rule
STRENGTH: Through the spots of less resistance strength can blend space it self. The oscillation of cosine push and pull the horizontal axis. Cos() and sin() functions bringing back the harmony and dynamism. Waves travel longer and deeper than a sword cut.
DEATH: the unavoidable end of things. Change from one dimension implies change of perception. In this card we introduce the use of the vertical axis, and together with the horizontal we represent a diagonal cut of paradigms. Transition is the only constant
THE WALL: two step() functions makes a new one call stroke(). Using the gradient of an axis, a threshold and a thickness, we can trace lines. “Any fixed contour is in nature arbitrary and impermanent.” John Berger
TEMPERANCE: about mixing and balance. This card reuse the stroke() function defined on card 04. Cards, reference each other building up a coherent and easy to use library of SDF functions. All in moderation.
BRANCH: all that happens before will happen again. Branch from the main. Incorporate new learnings. Try something new. Preorder you @pixelspiritdeck NOW at pixelspiritdeck.com
THE HANGED MAN: hero’s journey through the longest night. Both stroke() from card 04 (THE WALL) and the addition of both axis on card 03 (DEATH), presents the crossroad to transformation & sacrifice also know as katabasis the hero is on en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katabasis
THE HIGHEST PRIESTESS: behinds the veil that separate the seen & the unseen, this card teach us the secret knowledge of how to make our 1st SDF function. The initiated may understand that the gradient values between 0 and 1 serve as a new axis. One that is circular & sacred.
THE MOON: This card introduce the fill() function, that together with stroke() from card 04, brings SDFs to visible shapes. “... it may be that there shall come a calm upon the animal nature, while the abyss beneath shall cease from giving up a form." A. Waite
THE EMPEROR: this card introduce the rectangle as the 2nd SDF of the deck. Both stroke() (card 04) and fill() (card 09), use the same invisible topography of the SDF. This authority figure, demands to be heard. The orb in his hand is a symbol of the kingdom he watches over.
THE HIEROPHANT: introduce the 3rd SDF function to make a cross shape witch is made of two combined rectangles. Learning how to combine Signed Distance Fields is one of the basics skills this decks provides. Learn from it, follow it PREORDER it NOW @ pixelspiritdeck.com
THE TOWER: sudden surge of energy or change. Chaos. An insight that leads to a break-through or revelation. This card introduce the 3rd composing function, flip(). Where was light now there is darkness, where was darkness now there is light.
MERGE: duplications and conflicts will arise. When resolving, remember that growth comes from accepting and integrating differences. Use your empathy. This card combines to SDF circles one w stroke() other w fill() by using flip() on each others values
HOPE: A seed of light in the darkness. This cards also introduce the SDF shape of a vesica made by the intersection of two sacred circles.

THE TEMPLE: quiet place inside a space where we get access to the sacred or trascendent. This card introduce the SDF function to draw triangle shapes.

THE SUMMIT: arriving to the top is only half the trip. The hardest part is over, the rest of the path is down hill. Celebrate challenges and rest when you can.
