It's amazing to me how it's basically assumed by everyone that the president has committed multiple crimes and the question is whether SDNY finds them or indicts him or he's impeached.
But the degree to which his criminality is just priced in, taken for granted is astounding. It's perversely a political benefit he gains from the low estimation people generally have of his character.
At the same time: WE'RE JUST ABOUT THE MOST INCARCERATED SOCIETY ON EARTH!!! SO SO SO MANY PEOPLE ARE ROTTING IN CAGES FOR DOING LESS.
It's bewildering and enraging to whipsaw constantly back and forth between those two realities.
