- Copy to USB stick*
- Bring personal laptop to public wifi network
- Get Tor Browser, load SecureDrop onion site
- Upload doc
- Close Tor, wipe/destroy USB stick

* This step could be tricky, and journalists can't really help with it. Your work computer could log USB sticks you plug in, docs you print, etc. You could take photos of each page but watch out for CCTV, don't upload them to the cloud, etc. There are always risks, so be careful

Three of people that The Intercept laid off last week played essential roles in unionizing our newsroom and improving our workplace for all of us. And the underappreciated work they did supporting complicated investigative journalism was invaluable

In October Bloomberg published a widely-disputed story claiming China conducted supply chain attacks against Supermicro motherboards. While the specific story may be completely wrong, supply chain attacks definitely happen bloomberg.com/news/features/…
Our story, based on previous Snowden reporting, on docs that have previously been published but never analyzed, and on new docs we're publishing today, doesn't address Bloomberg's claims. But it's clear that the US takes seriously the threat from Chinese supply chain tampering

An intellectual Turing test is when a person on the right tries to pass for a person on the left, or vice versa. We have long observed that most rightists can pass an intellectual Turing test, and most leftists can’t
This is not because of any innate tendencies, but because the consequences of failing the test are asymmetrical. My honest views on most topics could make my professional life very difficult
Some leftists hear this and accuse me of whining, but it’s just a sober assessment of the tactical landscape. Adapt or perish. On the left, when you lose to your enemy, it's their fault for being wicked. On the right, it's yours for being careless.

1/ Let's make a few points about this. 1st: for all the talk in US about how foreign outlets are "state media," the US Government has induced *journalists* to lead the calls for the imprisonment of *sources* - including ones who provided Pulitzer-winning exposés. That's warped:
2/ The @Politico article launders an outright lie by hiding it under the sleazy "some say" formulation. Just compare the demonstrable lie in this article (Snowden refuses to criticize Russia's authoritarian) to the indisputable truth:
3/ I could spend all day posting examples of Snowden repeatedly and in the harshest terms criticizing the Russian government this way - for years. So what could justify Politico lying this way? Answer: Snowden is an enemy of the US Govt, so the Patriotic Media can lie about him.
