Jordan Peterson called for Catholics to boycott the sacraments because of Church corruption, so I’m boycotting Jordan Peterson by not cleaning my room. That will show him.
It’s actually worse than boycotting the Eucharist, which would be like a self-interdict of sorts. He’s saying Catholics should boycott mass itself, which is a mortal sin.

Jordan Peterson has very good advice for getting your life in order but his worldview is garbage.
Would love to read (or maybe write) a deconstruction of his worldview from a Catholic perspective. At its core is the liberal “ontology of violence” that sees the Logos as an imposed order on Chaos. It’s almost Calvinist.
The Catholic view is that the basic order of the universe is love, with sin and chaos as a intrusion on that love. Adam/Joseph/Jesus/Priests tend and protect the Garden/Mary/Church not to impose order on chaos but to expel chaos from order. The difference is subtle but important.
These are messy thoughts on an Uber ride to the Dallas airport so bare with me but I think this is an important distinction for our lives, relationships, politics, etc. Would love to hear thoughts from Catholics who have actually spent time digesting JP.

Shorter Platinga: If our brains evolved solely for survival (non-theistic evolution) then we have no reason to think we can know what’s true, including whether our brains evolved for survival.
